Jimmy Chickenpants performed at Alyeska Resort's Fiddlehead Festival in June of 2013. The performers were very professional during the entire contracting process and while they were at the Resort. All the band members were easy to work with and the band was well-liked by all staff members. Aside from being a joy to work with, their performance was great! They got the crowd moving and we had many compliments from guests. Alyeska loved having JCP play at our festival and we look forward to having them again soon.
Event & Music Director
"...vocalist Joni Mathews rides high along the bubbling numbers, Japanese mandolin player Hide Kawatsure picks with an absurd speed, hitting every note with discipline and style, bassist Jim Davies holds the bottom end firm, and Ken Clarkson adds mighty fine dobro and banjo work to the mix. Four-part harmonies add lift, but it's the repertoire that makes this quartet fun."
"Jimmy Chickenpants played music for our Tenth Anniversary Hoedown celebration in our yard and they were spectacular. I honestly can't think of a better sounding bluegrass band. They really created the atmosphere to put everyone in a happy, mellow celebratory mood, were a wonderful accompaniment to our vows renewal and picnicing, and then were a hoot and a holler when it came to the square dancing. Also, they had a great attitude and were a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to find out where they are playing next so I can go and hear them again and will definitely hire them for entertainment in the future. What a lovely, inspiring group of musicians!"
